laurentsullivan
Hi, I am starting a new job in neurosurgery soon and have been in family practice for 7 years. I am looking for some resources or books to get more comfortable back in the OR and in neurosurgery, any suggestions? Thanks!!
11BtoPA
Greenberg's the Handbook of Neurosurgery, Neuroanatomy through Clinical Cases, Atlas of Emergency Neurosurgery, Atlas of Neurosurgical Techniques: Spine and Peripheral Nerves.
BrainAndCo
Not sure how relevant this might be to OP, but I'm sure you won't be the last PA to go into neurosurgery on here! I would second Greenburg's - definitely my bible at work. Also Alexander's Care of the Patient is especially great if you are getting in the OR. If you have a long commute, there are some good medically neuro-focused podcasts like BrainWaves and BrainScience, which may help depending on which neurosurgical subspecialty you are in. I've yet to find a solid neurosurgery podcast, but I'm sure they are out there.
BrainAndCo
I wanted to share another one I've been using for a while. CNS has an app for apple & android call neurosurgery survival guide. It's for residents, but is extremely helpful for starting a new job in neurosurgery!
