sas5814
I am trying to find some information about whether or not PAs in Texas can be treating providers for WC patients. The info I can find is a mixed bag. Some say we can treat but counter signature required. Some say only a physician particularly on MMI evaluations. If anyone can point me to a good reference I would appreciate it.
Administrator rev ronin Posted April 14, 2016 Administrator Share Posted April 14, 2016 Can't help in Texas specifically, but I know in Washington State only an MD/DO can do permanent disability ratings.
Cideous
Can't do MMI's in Texas, even 0%'ers. Stupid, and I know the board is looking into it now. It's on their agenda.... Most places just have a stack of 0% MMI's pre-signed....just like the good old days before we got DEA numbers and the doc use to sign a full script pad for narcotics lol It's generally not an issue unless the pt goes bad after you have MMI'ed them and the case has to be re-opened. That's when it gets hairy.
