autumnalglory
I have a BA in Biology and was on route to dental school. I've been dental assisting in oral surgery/general dentistry for years. What I want to know is if my experience in health care is applicable for PA school's clinical experience requirements?
LESH
You will have to contact the program(s) you are interested in applying. I have seen programs count DA as HCE.
GujjuPA
I am in a smiliar situation. I work as a mental helath counselor now but I had been a dental assistant for 3 yrs during undergrad. I e-mailed some PA schools who said they would count dental assisting as HCE. Good luck to you :)
HopefulPA
Some will, some won't..... The only way to know for sure is to contact the specific programs you want to apply to and ask.
AmirH
The best way is to contact your school of choice and ask them.
StudentPA
What they said. I know that my school's program does not accept it.
