As a student who still has a tremendous amount to learn before I've even covered the basics, keeping track of multiple patients sounds daunting. I don't want to judge the OP on his/her underlying concern about managing multiple cases, because I think it's something that everyone worries over at some point in the learning process. However, it *is* something that's taught. And it's unrealistic to think you won't have to learn it and do it as a PA, no matter what setting you end up in.
