GeneValgene
just a curiosity for those who have attained a colorado license, specifically from a new grad perspective. from reading the site, looks like you need an SP within 180 days of the application for a PA license... do fresh PAs looking for jobs in colorado typically go ahead and apply for a license first, and hope they find a job and an SP that will sponsor them within 6 months? Patrick13
You need to submit the entire application, minus the SP paperwork. Your application is reviewed and placed on hold until you get the SP form submitted. Once you get a job you get the SP to sign that one piece of paper and your application is complete and should be cleared within a week. You DO need to get a previous practice record completed even though you are a new grad. You fax this form in the packet to Texas and they run a report and send it to the Colorado DORA. Jobs are pretty tight here so good luck!

Patrick13
I am from Colorado and love it here. As a PA I have very few restrictions and perform 97% of the things my SP does. She gets to handle all the legal crap and other BS I am not allowed to touch. A good state to be a PA as far as I am concerned.
