Part time + PD or Full time

I remember reading about this in various posts, but i don't think there has ever been a whole thread about this.

Just wondering what you all think is the best way to go about working, IE which would offer the most flexability and income.

Full time with complete benefits or part time with benefits (usually having to pay more into health insurance) + per diem (with higher hourly wage).

 

I remember somewhere people talking about PT+PD is the best because you get the benefits from the one job, and make a killing on the hourly pay at the other job. Let me know what you think. Also, how much higher should a per diem hourly rate be than a FT/PT hourly rate as there are no benefits included.
