Useful Courses/Certifications

Recommended Posts

Have some CME money to go through... Any recommendations on courses/certificates you have taken that have been worthwhile? Just finished up ATLS - was very well done and even enjoyable (obviously can be location/instructor dependent on that). Pretty new to EM... have the basics now ACLS, PALS, ATLS.

Even reading/reference material would be helpful.

Thanks!

I think the FCCS (fundamental critical care support) is a good course to take if you want to learn about taking care of the more acutely sick. It's 2 full days.

I can't speak to how it would help in being hired in EM (not having worked EM myself), but it's a very substantive course and seems like it would fit a gap in your background Rob77.
