pala2006 Posted October 6, 2009 I am starting the supplemental but the pre-requisite list states 2000 hours of direct patient care. I have around 650 hours and another 1200 in research which was medical lab work. Are they strict with the 2000 hours, and does it all have to be directly with patients? Anyone get interview with less hours? I'm trying to decide if I will be wasting the supplemental $.
pala2006 Posted October 6, 2009 Author Nevermind, I called admissions and they said research associate hours do count even if it doesn't involve direct patient contact.
Margaret Posted January 24, 2011 Ooh, would you know if "research" includes genetics research? as working in a lab with plants?
q4zhang Posted January 24, 2011 You probably should call them and ask just to be sure. I did breast cancer research with molecular biology techniques and they counted it toward the hours.
tanyacheer Posted September 27, 2012 oh they will interview you, but they might reject u or put u in an alternate list, cuz thats what happen to me.... they r very strict on completely doing the 2000 hrs equiv to 1yr of full time work I'm guessin....
Z PA-C Posted July 10, 2013 Does anyone know if all 2000 hours must be paid or does volunteer hours count?
