Agree, 2-4hrs is ridiculous, part of the issue stems from feeling as though doing admin work is not as important as the clinical work, wanting to be part of the clinical team, and similar thoughts. Most of our group suffers from this "malady". Many of us have other committee, projects to complete above and beyond our clinical duties which require us to take time away from seeing pts to go to meetings, or "find" time someplace to complete projects, etc.

I've been able to do this without taking work home although sometimes the word "deadline" loses its meaning.

The Ops Mgr positions sound very interesting!!!!
