MattK Posted August 7, 2011 Anyone know if the transcript request forms can be faxed to the institutions attended or must it be mailed? Thanks!
allisones Posted August 7, 2011 Out of my four schools I faxed 3 of them and gave an original to one school. The 3 faxed ones posted very quickly (within 5 business days of requesting the transcripts) and the one I gave directly still hasn't posted (... waiting patiently). So- who knows? On their site CASPA definitely says that the original is preferred, but I really didn't have time for all that mailing back and forth.
Southpawmedic PA-C Posted August 7, 2011 I mailed two of mine but scanned and emailed my third. See if they will accept an emailed form
cinntsp Posted August 7, 2011 I didn't bother with those forms. Including your CASPA ID in the address is much easier.
Allegro Posted August 9, 2011 You may want to review the "Sending Transcripts" FAQ on CASPA: Q: Can I fax the transcript request for to my registrar's office? A: CASPA prefers that your schools send the original copy of the request form. However, faxed transcript forms are acceptable, though may cause a one to two business day delay in processing your transcript. Please note that the transcript itself must be the original copy. Don't bother e-mailing or sending in the form separately. If it doesn't come with the transcript there is no point to it as its sole purpose is to identify the transcript upon receipt.

One of my schools said they will not attach forms to transcripts and with many schools doing online transcript request it was much easier to not use those forms.
queenofhearts Posted August 9, 2011 what do you guys mean you put it in the address? Do you mean when you filled out the transcript request for your school and you put the CASPA mailing address in you inserted your CASPA ID after?
yuliya13 Posted August 11, 2011 queenofhearts, yes, that's exactly what I did. It was easiest for me to do the online transcript request, and I just added my CASPA ID# in the first or second address line. CASPA received it just fine.
halie45 Posted August 11, 2011 Yes I did the same as yuliya13. For example, in the second line of the address....Attn: CASPA ID# 12344555555. It was much easier for me that way and CASPA actually told me this after I contacted them because I noticed one school wouldn't attach forms.
