ekaplan Posted August 4, 2011 Hey! I was just wondering if anybody has heard anything about interviews for the class of 2014 for the ft lauderdale campus??
Jcsabo Posted August 4, 2011 Nothing yet. I was told by the admissions counselor that the emails will go out at the end of this month for the first set of interviews in October.
FSUnoles Posted August 8, 2011 The interview dates have been set. The the faculty told me they aren't giving interviews to anyone under 3.2 Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk
keydanielle Posted August 9, 2011 They are changing the interview process this year. FSUnoles and I are in the class of 2013. We will try to help you out when we can but are not sure how different it will be. We had actual phone calls notifying us of missing info and interviews. This year it is an automated service that includes a choice of interview dates. You then call back or go online and select the date you prefer. Good luck to all of you :)
pvdude Posted August 9, 2011 FSU and danielle how heavily is HCE weighted? Could you give some round about numbers for your class? Thanks
FSUnoles Posted August 11, 2011 We have 78 in our class but I think they are looking to get to low 70s due to the other programs Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk
hml925 Posted August 11, 2011 I called today to check the status of my application and they stated that they would be sending out an e-mail or letter sometime next week for the first batch of interviews, so some applicants should be hearing back fairly soon! Good luck everyone! :o)
pvdude Posted August 11, 2011 FSU what kind of health care experience does your class have? Would you say nova is big on that?
xx1playgurlxx Posted August 11, 2011 i second pvdude's question. I know that UF "highly" recommends 2000 hours, but Nova doesn't seem as strict about hce as UF is.
hml925 Posted August 15, 2011 I also received an e-mail today! My interview is set for Oct. 7th!! I'm sooo thrilled! :o)
ekaplan Posted August 15, 2011 Author I am so excited! I'm coming from Pennsylvania where are other people coming from? Also, is there only one applicant per date or does it just seem that way from this forum?
keydanielle Posted August 15, 2011 Our class varies widely with health care hours. I personally had very little, I believe under 200 hours. We have a good amount of people straight out of undergrad or only a year out who did not have much. We also have a large number who have held jobs in the health care field for years. Nova is not too strict on the hours but instead looks at the overall person. Definitely not like UF as someone asked about earlier in the post.
han7 Posted August 16, 2011 I also received an email today :) I am interviewing October 10th! Good luck to everyone!
hml925 Posted August 20, 2011 I received a call to change my interview date to Oct. 14! Anyone interviewing that date, please feel free to get in touch with me! Good luck everyone
JustPassing Posted September 6, 2011 Do any of you that have interviews have pre reqs pending? If so how many and what are they?
hml925 Posted September 8, 2011 I still have 1 class that I'm currently taking for a pre-req online (A&P II), and I did receive an interview invite, which is set for Oct. 14.
ajensen Posted September 19, 2011 Interview Dec 2 :) Anyone else have the same day? I also have an interview Dec 2. I will see you there!!!
FSUnoles Posted September 21, 2011 Good luck to everyone who got interviews I know this has been the most they have received Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk
dncntaz Posted September 24, 2011 I have a question for everyone who submitted their supplemental app: How long were your essays? There are no guidelines (min or max words) so I wasn't sure. Especially on the 2nd one where it says to list your reasons. Thanks!
DDIAZ028 Posted September 26, 2011 I am interviewing Dec. 16th and as far as the essays, there is a character limit which I believe was 1000. For some reason it doesn't mention it on the actual application but it will give you an error if you exceed the limit when you try and submit.
