andersenpa Posted August 2, 2011 I was fascinated by this. http://www.pahx.org/film_video.html Click on the link for "Steve Joyner, PA-C provides pediatric care in a rural clinic" And listen to the narration by the physician. It strikes me that this is VERY close to the way we sometimes hear (and often fear) as the way the lay public percieves how PAs practice. I've been reading through the documents on PAHx recently. If you haven't, take some time to browse the site...articles, photos, video, biographies....it may just get you a bit more motivated for your profession which can sometimes be a drag.
andersenpa Posted August 2, 2011 Author ...and of course...."The Man" Dr. Eugene Stead, Jr., describes why he began the first formal PA education program at Duke Listen to it....he mentions the early corpsman lacking "theoretical training" as the lacking component. Has PA education narrowed the theoretical component with physician training (excluding physician residency)?
