andersenpa Posted July 21, 2011 I've heard the terms used interchangably at times, but there are fellowships which are more academic in nature- research/etc. Residencies follow the usual model of clinical rotations throughout a specialty.

Contrarian Posted July 21, 2011 Also... From what I've seen... Residencies seem to be longer and much more "structured" while Fellowships seem to be more "focused/narrowed." YMMV Contrarian
