Janeway lesions.... infective endocarditis

thumbprint sign on lateral neck xray... epiglottitis

Roth spots.... endocarditis

battle sign.... basilar skull fx

bird's beak on barium swallow.... achalasia

WBC casts.... interstitial kidney disease

dinnerfork deformity.... Colles fx

How about a new rule, in order to add more you have to answer at least one of the previous ones. There are a bunch in here that are really good, but I've never heard of, would love to kow what they are.

Heavy, painless vaginal bleeding in the 3rd trimester - placentia previa

 

Heavy, painful vaginal bleeding in the 3rd trimester - placenta abruptio

 

Tearing chest pain radiating to the back in a very tall male with long, slender hands/fingers - aortic dissection/Marfan's Syndrome

Don't use the number 66% to a PA student, they develop paroxysms of fear.....

 

 

LOL. Yeah, I couldn't help myself....I was laughing the whole time I typed that post.

 

To be honest, this has the potential to become a pretty decent PANCE/PANRE test prep thread. I could sit and write up test questions all day. I've always been pretty good at reading test questions and figuring out what the question writer is after pretty quickly.

IDK if there is a practice question thread on this forum or not...but as long as nobody posted questions they memorized off of the PANCE/PANRE (and it'd probably need a warning specifically saying NOT to), it'd probably be quite helpful.
