NewtonsApple Posted July 20, 2011 I Know a couple PAs that work part time to full time in specialties (ortho, cardiothoracic) and work part time/ PRN at an urgent care/ primary care setting and seem happy. Not sure if that is possible for you, or how much you enjoy neuro. Another possibility, I did see job offers (one particularly in northern VA) that have various specialties all in house. The one in NOVA has board certified Docs in primary care or IM, cardio, endocrine, rheum, I think Psych, and they even do some botox and other 'rejuvenating procedures' in house ( I assume the have Derm too?). I am not sure if the PAs (they about 5 and are looking for 2 more) are utilized to generally cover all areas of if they run with a particular doc. Just food for thought.

dm123 Posted July 21, 2011 My favorite area. Like Pawn Stars. You never know what is going to com through the from door. Funny, story. We had a check-in person that was a striking model. The kind guys had a hard time pulling their eyes off. She checked him in and ask what brought him in our how can we help or some such. . Problems with my foot, he says. "What kind of problem" she asks. "Ohhh it is kind of a man thing, you know I'm ashamed I have dirty socks on and would be embarrassed for you to see it." I come in and after pleasantries ask about his foot. He said my problem is my "Peter is dripping on my foot". One of it's favorite hiddy holes. G- Diplococci Maybe he felt he might have a chance with this girl once he got his "foot" better and lied to cover up.
