Pre-PA looking for Shadowing opportunity in Washington State

Recommended Posts

Not meaning to steal your post or anything. But I'm in the same boat looking for some PA shadowing in the follow areas:

Orthopedics

Family Practice

Surgery

A little info about me.

4,200 hours Er tech experience

Working on my final Pa Preqs this Fall

Looking for a different view of the Pa profession due to most of my hours being from the Emergency Medicine side.

I do have a few hours of shadowing a Pa in a FP/Clinic setting, but looking for more of just FP setting where you are familiar with your patients.

Orthopedics would love to follow during rounds in hospital and office setting.

Surgery - Open to all!

Contrarian, sorry it took so long to post (still getting used to the forum). I just finished a phlebotomy course at a technical college. Besides that I have a B.S. in bio and psych I participated in undergraduate research on S. aureus and I worked at a hospital as a receptionist. I am planning on applying in June so I am hoping to shadow much before then to get an inside look at the profession. I am also starting to volunteer at a local hospital and will be going on a medical missions trip to Haiti in December. I would appreciate any advice/suggestions.

Jmj, I would be willing to drive that far for an opportunity. Please let me know if you are available. Thank you

Kvill- no worries :-)
