JON-PA
I have been contacted by an established ortho practice in Florida. I was wondering if anyone had any input regarding starting salaries for a new grad in ortho. Not being from Florida, I am unsure how much should be expected for the area. I was asked on a phone interview to give them an expected salary range, but I told them it was negotiable and left it at that. I have an interview there coming up, and I am sure that they will ask me again. The job will consist of 2-3 days in OR and the rest office. Call is split with the doctor. I was told it is limited due to the large size of the practice, but I will find out more details. Athletic event coverage as well. I just wanted to get some experienced opinions so that I am prepared. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Acebecker
Looks like average starting salary in ortho is going to be low 80s. If you have experience as an ATC (or other orthopedics) you can probably get near 90 to start, especially given that you'll be on call. Best of luck to you!
