Hi guys,

     I'm a new grad looking to work in EM.  This is in michigan. This is a part time position that will eventually transition to full time. I was offered the following:

 

 

     - 45/hr x 1800 hours = 81k a year 

     -first 16 shifts are training paid at 35/hr

     -2 weeks vacation

     -2500 CME

     -health,dental, life package worth 5300

      -401k option and malpractice paid

 

 

I currently don't have any other offers and I think I might struggle to find another ED job. What do you guys think?

Though I agree with EMEDPA, just for the sake of argument, employers should be willing to invest in training their employees. It's not a big thing financially but it seems petty to me. If the job transitions to "full time" you will be making around $90K/yr with decent benefits. Seems like a reasonable gig for a new grad.
