Bodiggler
I graduate in a year and have no wife or kids. Was thinking about doing the travel thing to get lots of different experiences and to pay down debt faster. Anybody done this and have any insight? How much more do you really make? Thanks! Sam I Am
A locums is considered a "card holder" or replacement for the opened position. That means MOST of the time, you need 1-2 years experience. A shoddy Locums will try to place new grads wherever they can - but the end decision is up to the clinics. I don't know your personal work history so I'm not assuming your experience one way or the other. But, I've done Locums and the receiving staff expects you to pick up exactly where the last provider was. The pay is excellent - but no benefits at all. I recommend Staff Care for the recruiting. Pay depends how how savvy you are. None of the Locums I worked with discussed their pay because it all depends on if you're a beast at negotiating or not.
