Crusading Angel
I was thinking of doing an emergency medicine major at my school. However I was curious about something. So would an emergency medicine major (basically emt major) count as just normal GPA or would it count as science GPA? I noticed that Emergency Med-Tech (EMT/EMS)is counted as Other Science found on the link below. However I'm not too sure since my school labels the major as EM Can anyone confirm whether it's one or the other? Is it different since it's emergency medicine and not emergency medicine-tech? https://portal.caspaonline.org/caspaHelpPages/frequently-asked-questions/academic-history/course-subjects/index.html
Diggy
If CASPA label it as "other sciences" then it will be counted as such, aka your science GPA.

So the fact that it's EM and not EMT or EMS, doesn't matter then. Basically the symbols/abbreviations doesn't matter. Just as long as the names match. Ok thanks for the information. fishbum
All of my major courses are in "Emergency Medical Care" and they are science courses.
Disciple3
Are you talking about the EM program at pitt? I listed all my paramedic program courses as "Other science" so yes it will be counted toward both your cGPA and then more specifically towards your sGPA but not towards your pre-req GPAs or the BCP GPA.
