erinlbrown
I am a graduate of Texas A&M University with a GPA of 3.71, Magna Cum Laude. I have been working as a PCT for 6 months with other prior work experience outside of healthcare and am BLS and EMT certified. I have GRE scores of 163 Verbal, 160 Quantitative, and 5 Analytical Writing. I have 3 very strong letters of recommendation, and I believe my personal statement to be fairly strong as well. I haven't had the time to volunteer or shadow, but am picking up those hours to be added into my application after submission. Do I have any hope of getting into a school? Disciple3
Its later in the cycle now, but I would say yes. Research the schools, some place a lot of emphasis on shadowing so I wouldn't apply to those ones.
Guy
You definitely have a really good chance of getting accepted with those impressive stats. My only concern is that it is a little late in the game but given your credentials I don't see how you couldn't get in otherwise.
cordelia*8
If you apply, you have a shot; if you don't, you don't. However, 6 months HCE is the bare minimum for a lot of schools and not having any volunteering/shadowing experience may also work against you. You'll be more competitive next year.
