urcrobin13
Hi guys, this may be a silly question, but I did a lot of volunteering in high school, and I was wondering if that should be added to CASPA, or if it is just stuff done during college and recently? thank you! Administrator rev ronin Posted May 11, 2011 Administrator Share Posted May 11, 2011 I doubt it would hurt, but I also doubt it would help that much. If you progressed from Candy Striper in HS to CNA in college, that's a worthwhile thing to add, showing a trend from patient interaction to patient care--that I would definitely include. Likewise, if you had leadership experience or service to the underserved, I'd make a point of including that, if it shows an ongoing trend of responsibility and service. On the other hand, if you just have a bunch of nonspecific in-school service hours like volunteering in the attendance office, I might consider leaving those off. If you had a TON of volunteering in HS, and almost none in college, then you'd want to explain what changed in your PS.
