Sabsaf123 Posted July 14, 2015 Should a CNA job go under "health care experience" or under "patient care experience" in CASPA? Thanks.
Hawkeyes Posted July 14, 2015 Patient care experience is for hands on experience, health care experience can be like hospital volunteering in which you did not directly provide patient care
AliB Posted July 14, 2015 Read the CASPA FAQ for additional clarification ... but hours worked in a single job may or may not fall in a single category. If a portion of your time worked is patient care and a portion is not, you split the hours between applicable categories. Yes, this will duplicate the dates / supervisor / etc., but that's not an issue. edit: to be additionally explicit - don't duplicate the HOURS.
Sabsaf123 Posted July 14, 2015 Author I read the FAQ but I still don't get the distinction. If I took vitals, monitored blood sugar, helped pts to the bathroom, etc. Is that pt care experience?
