2015-2016 Application Cycle

Recommended Posts

Congratulations to everyone receiving interviews! I'm scheduled for Saturday morning. If anyone is interested in meeting up prior to the interview, please let me know! I fly in Friday morning and I'm sure it will help calm nerves if we see familiar faces. Maybe someone can recommend a good coffee spot? :)

Good luck to everyone waiting to hear!

Fair Grounds is just a few blocks down Colley Ave from EVMS. A great local coffee house. There is a Starbucks across the street from them if that is more your speed.

If you stay at the Marriott Residence Inn (The closest hotel to EVMS) then there is a great coffee shop called CURE which is about 2 blocks away from the hotel.

I believe the current students will be acting as host / escorts on the morning of the interviews. I have been to a few information sessions and tours at EVMS. They always make you feel very welcome and relaxed.

Same here! I just called and the lady I spoke with said that if the spots aren't filled they will send more out Friday afternoon. This is my second time applying so I was hoping to get an interview this go around. I'm not giving up yet but this wait is killer.

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted !!!????So I am going by the motto "plan for the worse hope for the best ". And if I don't get in on this cycle I def think I need more hours. I already have a job full time and a child so I don't have a lot of time. Does anyone know of any jobs in the medical field that are flexible or that could be worked maybe 1-2 days max a week ?

Congrats to everyone that's gotten interview so far, and to everyone that is still waiting keep your faith. I'm 50/50 between being nervous and excited to interview here, I really love this program. I'm coming from Florida and will be in town that Friday afternoon for the Saturday morning interview, if anyone wants to meet up to calm nerves let me know, I also got an email that the current students would be doing a meet and greet each night after interviews, still deciding which night would be better for me to attend. Best of luck being calm these next few weeks guys lol and thank you umphh for that insight, much needed

You might want to look into doing something per diem at a hospital or working at a place that allows extended shifts, where you only work 1- 3 times a week but the shifts are about 12 hours. Might be a little much but it allows you to do a lot when you're off

Hi RunForest! I'll be interviewing on Saturday morning as well and would love to meet to help calm our nerves! I'll be attending the meet and greet on one of the nights, but I am still not sure which night I'll be attending.
