But last year I was verified 9/3, so apply early is still good advice.

varvrl
mcourt90: How hard was it to get a job as a medical assistant? Did you get a certificate? I'm a little hesitant to put on my resume that I have a B.S. degree because maybe they'll think that I don't plan to work as an MA for a long time... When I graduated college, I started applying to jobs for medical assistant. I was not certified, and I had no experience. Still, I got a job as medical assistant, they trained me and I always told them that I was planning to go to PA school. Many doctors will be willing to train you, if you have a positive attitude and willing to work when they need you!. So just apply to jobs and best of luck!! Don't hide what your true dreams are and a lot of people is always willing to help you!
