d3t3rm1n3d
Yes, apply! Even Yale's webpage says in their last class, they accepted students with as low as 100 hours of HCE. You have done a great deal of shadowing, and you should use your personal statement to support your knowledge and sincere desire to be a PA. Don't let numbers drive you away from your dream. Apply. What do you have to lose? You're competitive in every other aspect.

So I put it in CASPA as paid, so I have no volunteer work...kinda sucks Edited August 9, 2012 by bradyg007

Secondly - I see your GPA as being the big thing hindering you. It barely meets the minimum requirements for most places. You could consider taking more sciences classes to boost it, or doing a 1 year medical masters program like they have at USF. Thirdly - apply to more schools! Unless you are limited geographically, I don't see any reason to only apply to three.
mmfried
Thanks for the response I appreciate it! Yah... I do think that applying late in the cycle was a crucial error. I have considered one year masters programs... as this could help increasingly. I'm not limited geographically either... I think I'll utilize all three of these this round... still need to submit the CASPA app now though... still running behind one that..... :(...... thanks :)
