Completed application 11/25/15 and I saw updates ranging rom "Application sent to committee" that changed to "background/visa review completed." I got an email from them after sending my updated grades with the Fall 2015 grades saying that their still reviewing my application.

Little nervous. Anyone else can shed light? Btw wondering when interviews and acceptances are offered. Heard from last year that it ranges from Jan - April. Should I Be nervous?

Congrats to those who already received interviews and acceptances! :)

I was wondering if anyone else has heard back about interviews recently?

I submitted mid-November and my application has been under review by the admissions committee since Mid-December but haven't heard anything since.

@RPD1489 I had my interview Feb 2nd but just stay positive because its still early!

I know it's just hard! I interviewed the same week! Thinking if I don't hear back this week, I've been wait listed.  It really seems like they are making the decisions much faster this year.

Think positive!  Have you read the old threads? Looks like they send out acceptances through April.

From people who interviewed does your application status now change? I'm curious how it works

Has the application status changed this cycle before or after you get an acceptance email?  I noticed people were talking about this last cycle but no mention on this thread.

Congratulations to all who have been accepted.

Question for those accepted is this your first or second time applying to the program?

Hello PA_DREAM this is my first time applying to this program.  I applied last cycle to Sophie Davis, was granted an interview and got wait-listed.  As a backup I decided to start my application for Downstate and took Genetics as my upper division science over the fall and had to retake A&P2 since it was over 8 years old.  I submitted my application 8/25/15, finished the 2 courses over the fall and was granted an interview on 1/27/16.  I was blessed to get offered a seat on 2/12/16.

G.Morning PA_Dream,this was my first time applying.I was constantly checking my status once I had my interview 2/2/2016. For about 5 days it was still with the committee. After, it was sent back to admissions then on 2/12/2016 when I checked (since that was my 10th day and I saw on previous cycles some people heard back by then) my status and that's when I found out I was accepted.

For those accepted, have you received your package in the mail yet?

I had to retake one class my freshman year, and I really do not want to waste a few sentences in my personal statement to speak about it. Although, I also understand it is best to address it somewhere. Is there another place on CASPA to discuss shortcomings on your application? I do not see a place, but I want to make sure I am not missing something.

I know Yale has an online pa program, what is a competitive applicant for Yale online? Also does anyone else have an online physician assistant program?

      Thank you

Hello everyone! I did not see a thread for the applications for Gannon University in Erie, PA? Has anyone applied as a post-baccalaureate student? They do have a 5 year combined bachelor's and master's program but I believe they accept a few students besides their undergraduate class.

My name is Tessa and I am currently an MA at a dermatology clinic. I am aspiring to be a PA and will be applying during the next cycle. I have worked along side PAs for about 2 years now in dermatology and have experience working in a level 1 ED. However, I am looking for any PA shadow opportunity in Arizona that is not dermatology as I want to branch out and have an understanding of what PAs do in different fields. I live in Glendale but I am willing to travel anywhere in Arizona.
If you are a PA or know a PA or any open opportunities feel free to reach out to me on here.
      Thank you!

So I finally got a job at my dream hospital!! I am currently working there as a Patient Care Technician/ PCT. However, I will be leaving for PA school next year. I really want to return to this hospital and work as a PA! The problem is that getting a job at my hospital is super competitive. Is there a way for me to ensure/ increase my chances of getting a PA job in this facility in the future?

(Also, what do you guys think of requesting a absense of leave instead of quitting? Can I be able to come back to the hospital to pursue a higher position?)

      Thanks in advance!
