Saz0503
I am also confused. From the interview invite email: "The in-person candidate visit day is the next phase of the application process and all applicants who wish to be considered for admission must attend." peachsole
Hi! I went to the interview and just got my invite for the supplemental :) Good luck everyone!
rainy
I also got the secondary invite and did NOT interview. So I'm a bit confused. I'm not sure if I should even pursue this as I've already been accepted elsewhere and don't want to pay the $90 fee if this is some sort of glitch... Anyone have any insight? rainy
It does state at the bottom of the email "You may additionally be asked to attend an in-person visit with the School of Nursing." However, the program I was accepted into starts in January and the attached document states that acceptances will be announced in March, so I won't be pursuing this program. Although staying close to Reno sure would've been nice :) Best of luck to everyone!!
HLADRB1
I just noticed this on the UC Davis website: "The application process may require an interview." Keyword may. I'd definitely check in with the admissions staff, though.
Csue
Does anyone have any insight on how the application process went last year? I'm confused because at my interview day they said that from those interviewing they will select applicants to complete the secondary. I guess I was under the impression that receiving the secondary means they've narrowed it down, however it sounds like that's not the case... dtaylor1747
If anyone hears anything, please check-in here! I am equally confused. I was also not invited to the visit day/interview, but I received an invitation to submit the UC Davis Graduate Studies application. I have emailed them to inquire. I have read that the application process may require and interview. I have also read in the most recent email, that we may be asked to come in for an in-person visit. I know what "may" means, but I just want to hear from them if we can be accepted without an interview. I hope to conceptualize UCD admission process. Are the people that did not get invited for visit day, fighting for one of the few remaining spots to interview? Or Do the people that did not get invited for a visit day have an equal shot of acceptance as those invited for visit day?
hi_lauren
I've heard from MDs and PAs that some schools send out secondary apps just to get more money... Especially if they require an interview for the admission process, I can see why people would be confused if they got a supplemental and didn't go to the interview. Either way, perhaps there are a few seats left. If you don't do the supplemental then you won't get in for sure, but if you do it then you can get peace of mind
leothemailman79
I received a supplementary app also, and haven't interviewed either. Not sure what it means. Hopefully gives us a chance to interview.
greentea
I received the graduate studies application as well but did not interview. I just called the administration office but she was not able to give me a clear answer as to why the applications were sent or clarify if their application process has changed. She just said that I should fill it out anyhow. If anyone has emailed the school, please share their response! I don't want to spend more money if there is a slim chance left.... Nucmed
Seems like UCDavis budget running low so they are charging applicants again lol
flghtychck
Sending out secondary application invites as a way of fundraising seems very unethical and shady. I doubt a University would risk their reputation and other funding for the measly $90 they get for each application.
nixietink
Hey, at least they don't send secondary applications to everyone prior to selecting interview participants. That is even more shady.

douglas
Did anybody else get the email to submit transcripts after you submitted your supplemental application?
mrshazzardpa
I contacted them and they said that was an automatic message from the grad studies and to disregard it.

coolinator
For all the people that secondary applications w/o interviewing, did you guys find out what "maybe invited for an in person interview means". I was wondering because it seems like there wasn't a clear answer about what "maybe invited" really means? Thank You all Good luck to everyone
coolinator
Good afternoon everyone. Just an update. I just receive an email from UC Davis saying that i've been put on the wait list. Anyone else on the same boat? I've never been wait listed before, does anyone know how it works?
Lauren42
Me too! I've never been waitlisted before either. I just sent an email asking what it means to be on the waitlist, as they suggested on the email they sent out.
Saz0503
I was also waitlisted. Weird, I wasn't expecting to hear back from UC Davis until March...
coolinator
Yeah same here. If anyone hear back from them about what being wait listed means please share. Thank You guys
JuniorTech2
I also received an e-mail from Admissions recommending me to the waitlist. Totally caught me off-guard since they mentioned they wouldn't get back to us until mid-February. Anyone know anything about the wait-list process/rankings? Anyone gain acceptance?
