I am entering my senior year as a Biology major and looking to apply for PA school during the next cycle. I have been having a hard time finding PA's to shadow and am posting here in the hopes of finding somebody. I am able to commute anywhere around the Denver or Boulder area. I work as a CNA, volunteer in an ED and am active in a genetics research lab. I have nearly all of my pre-reqs for PA school but am wanting to shadow a PA before applying during the next cycle. I know that shadowing would be an extremely valuable experience and therefore appreciate any direction on where to look!
One of the nice things about gender disparity in recent PA students and graduates is that there's no line for the men's room.
Post your own AAPA 2019 observations below!
First one to spot me and introduce yourself gets a to-be-determined prize. Void for people whom I have already met in person.
Hi there! I recently graduated with a Bachelors in Biochemistry and Molecular Bio and I was pre-med. I'm taking 2-3 gap years to work/volunteer/shadow. I've shadowed before and have plenty of medical experience and I feel that I am most knowledgable about emergency medicine and immunology as those are the areas I've worked in.
I'm looking for a PA to shadow (preferably in the ED) somewhere near Denver, CO. I would love to shadow evenings and/or weekends as I work Monday-Friday during the day.
Hello! I am currently comparing University of Colorado-Denver and Yale. Anyone from either program or anyone in general have any insight? Both are incredible programs and I am just looking for any thoughts/advice please!! Thanks!
I'm looking for opportunities to shadow some PAs in the Boulder/Denver area. I have a significant amount of patient care hours already but was hoping to gain some more and work with PAs in various fields to learn a bit more about the different specialties out there. Any information in regards to shadowing opportunities in this area would be more than appreciated! Thank you!
