AliB Posted April 24, 2015 Share Posted April 24, 2015 Mostly for demographics - are they attracting 1st generation professionals, or not, etc. As they state in the FAQ: In this section, you may choose to enter demographic information about your parents or guardians, including where they reside, their level of education, current occupation, and role within your household. Some programs can use it for purposes of grant funding so it is valuable information. It also allows us to have more demographic information nationally about our pool of applicants.
