gizmo85
I know online classes are kind of frowned upon, and in some cases like labs for science pre reqs are acually not allowed, but my question is this. How would the school even know if the class was taken online or at the actual school? On the transcript it only shows the name of the class and the grade and when it was taken, as far as I know, it does not state anywhere whether it was taken online, or at the actual school? bunchespa
They most likely have course codes that let them know.
SoCalPA
Schools have a database of each school and their courses. They use it to determine course equivalency when granting transfer credit They can easily find out which courses are offered online. If they suspect something they just call the granting school and they will find out. The records people are quite used to communicating with each other. gizmo85
Thank you both for your replies. Do either of you by any chance know if Miami Dade does not allow online classes for any of the pre reqs, for instance labs for science classes? Thanks! AliB
Also, when you enter your coursework in CASPA, you specify if it was online.
