mbh2
How awful would it be to have a shoulder in a sling for up to 4 weeks during the didactic year? Injury was to my right shoulder and unfortunately I am right-handed... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BARONEUS
I would worry about it interfering with your sleep. Oh wait, you said didactic... nevermind you're good.

flashingdots
what needs to be done to your shoulder? i would def talk to the doc about what recovery looks like. from my experience as an aide, being in that annoying sling for up to 4 weeks means you prob had a major tear… and if that’s the case, consider how much time you’ll spend in PT in order to gain ROM + strength back (prob 2x week for about an hour + travel time)… but everyone responds diff to sx so maybe it wont be too bad? will you be living with someone who can help you out? do you have to drive to campus? what kind of assistance can your program provide while temp disabled (for exams, etc)? i don’t start school till the fall but these are things I’d def take into accnt if I were planning to get shldr sx. best of luck!
