Pre-PA shadowing near Denver/Boulder Colorado

I am looking to shadow a PA in the Denver or Boulder area. Graduated Cum Laude with a double major in Physics and Chemistry and would like to get some PA shadowing hours before I submit my application in August.

Littleton Adventist in south Denver has a program, but it might be far for you. Denver Health does also and I suspect they have clinics closer over your way. If you do a google search for, Denver Health PA shadow, it should take you to the section of their website that shows you how to go about it. I just sent Denver Health my request, after I got approval from one of their PAs. I sent out about 5 request to PAs to get an ok and 1/2 responded to say, it was fine if I used their name on the application.

How did you send our your requests? Did you just look their number up in the phonebook and then call them?

I suspect the PA's were/are way to busy to take a direct call and I preferred to not spring the question on them, so I mailed them a letter of request. I went to Denver Health's website, looked up what all clinics Denver Health oversees and then selected from those with PAs on their provider list.

Just an update. Today, April 27 & still no reply from the Director of Denver Health's shadow program even though the PA has approved it??? Will be sending new request soon as my military experience taught me how much paperwork gets lost.
