TaylorCole
Hey! I'm currently a pre-nursing student but have the desire to be much more than a nurse.. I've been exploring other fields and came across PA. I have a strong interest in surgery so I've started looking into Surgical PA. I guess I have just a lot of general questions about the career. Can anyone give me a general overview? Like, What are the main tasks? Are Surgical PA's "first assist" in surgery? What are the responsibilities? Do Surgical PA's call time of death? Do you make rounds for the Physician, how does that work? Sorry for all these questions, I'm sure they are very amateur. Thank you to whoever takes the time to answer! I've been struggling so much trying to figure everything out and all that.
TaylorCole
Also, what is the education needed? I've read multiple things online but I think it would help to have an actual person explain to to me, rather than reading from an article. Do you complete BSN first or..?
