Howdy folks! Excited to be joining the UNT family this summer. For any current students or future students, has anyone completed or is planning to attend the workshops???

There's anatomy and physiology workshops are suggested for PA students, but I didn't know if it's just another chance for the school to milk us for a bit more moneys.

I highly suggest taking the anatomy pre-mat course! Not only is it a great way to get acquainted with the cadaver lab which can be pretty shocking its also a great way to meet your fellow classmates and some TCOM and PT students.

Just curious...did UNT bring the cadaver dissection back for PA students?

I agree! I took both last year and was really glad I took the pre-anatomy workshop. I would definitely recommend that one! It is an awesome introduction to the cadaver lab plus you get to meet your fellow PT's which you will take anatomy with first semester! And we do prosections, not full dissections.

Thanks for the feedback ya'll! I figured I didn't really need it because I've had a prosected cadaver lab before, but since it's been 5 yrs since my last A&P course, I'm thinking a refresher will definitely be a good idea.

Also what is this Discover myHSC day? Anyone go to that? What is it really helpful, or just another chance to meet classmates before school starts?

Hi I was wondering if anyone ever took the Masters in Medical Science program from UNTHSC before applying for PA school?
      It's a 1 rigorous program.
I am interested in applying for it to possibly strengthen my application, but I would love some insight from anyone who had taken it too.

      Hello all!
I submitted a drawing to the Frame My Future scholarship contest earlier this year. After they reviewed 5500 entries, they picked me to be one of the 24 finalists!!! Wooot! In order for me to win $1000 scholarship that could help me pay for the PA program at UNTHSC in Fort Worth, TX, I need your help. The money is awarded to 5 finalists who get the most votes, so please vote for me!
Voting is from now until April 19th (11:50pm Eastern Time), so vote early and vote often!
      1. go to: www.diplomaframe.com/FMF2015-Naguit
      2. click on 'Vote for This Entry" 3. enter your email address (1 vote per email address, so if you have multiple email addresses, please vote for me multiple times!) 4. check your email to confirm your vote 5. pass this on to get others to vote for me!
I hope that you guys will rally behind me by helping me publicize this opportunity. I know that with your help, I could win this competition and show the nation that Physician Assistants are a force to be reckoned with!    Thanks so much for your support!!   -Ashley

For any UNTHSC PA alumni or current students, can you share what you like most about UNT? What made you choose the program and what makes (or doesn't make) you think it is an exceptionally good/enjoyable program and should be a top choice for future PA students? Thank you so much!
