Guest Paula
AAPA FB page had the article about Joe posted on Friday and over 400 people have seen it. He responded to the post. Thanks AAPA.. Nice job and a great piece highlighting the heights PAs can soar to in their practices.
sillycibin
That's great. There is no reason why PAs can't be considered for certain dedicated surgeries. Clinical Officers in Africa already show this is viable in terms of emergency C-sections. Personally I would like to be used as the sole "surgeon" for a lot of skin graft cases my practice does. joepilot
To all my colleagues, A colleague of mine happend to come across this site and noticed the posts about my faculty appointment. While it has been an extremely long road to get to where I am, I firmly believe there are surgically gifted PA's who can carry on this torch. I was greatly humbled by all the commentary. If anyone has any interest in this and wants to know more about our unique transplant model, I can be reached at jc2009@cumc.columbia.edu Best to you all Joe Costa
