EDtech
What are some of the procedures that PAs do on a regular basis in General Surgery. Just to clarify I am not talking about first assist but actually doing the entire procedure.
FfIghter23
Endoscopic vein harvesting for CABG. PAs can't perform an entire procedure without a surgeon in the suite. Surgeons have earned the right to do the surgery with 4 years of residency minimum. PAs get to earn the trust of the surgeon (usually after many years) and may get to do some important things, but never start to finish alone in the OR. EDtech
Fflghter24 thank you for your response. I was more curious about procedures that don't require general anesthesia. I read an article that some PAs do vasectomies and was wondering how common it was.
