vtension
Hi everyone, I plan to apply next year and need some advice as to whether I should retake classes and take extra classes like Medical Terminology and Pathophysiology to increase my GPA. Or should I focus on strengthening my HCE? I'm about to start a full time job as a nurse tech at Emory University Hospital and trying to volunteer as much as possible currently. Here are my stats: B.S. in Biology Age: 22 GPA cGPA: 3.48 sGPA: 3.40 (low because I made a C in Organic Chemistry 2 and Toxicology) Pre-req GPA: 3.56 GRE: Will take in a couple of months HCE: 200 hours internship as a nurse tech and 2,000+ hours working at the hospital as a PCT by the time I apply. Activities/research: 2 years as research assistant in microbiology/bio remediation lab, currently graphic designing for university (18 hours a week), volunteering at 2 clinics as a CNA (6 hours/week) and will be working on obtaining more community services and shadowing experience. Thank you for any input!
