AZPA14
I'm a new grad PA starting in urology. I have 2 months before I start and was hoping to learn more about Urology/Urogynecology during my down time. Urology PA's what is your favorite text/clinical resource you have used in practice? I've heard about the Urology by Campbell -Walsh... Thanks!
uropa
Been doing inpatient urology for about 6 years now. Campbell-Walsh is the main text that the urology residents at my instituation use. However, I do not recommend it as a primary learning material for a new PA graduate. The density, scope and detail of the material is just beyond what you need to get started. I would recommend Smith's Urology http://www.amazon.com/Tanaghos-General-Urology-Eighteenth-Edition/dp/007162497X and/or http://www.pocketguidetourology.com/ Both provide excellent overviews of all major urology topics and contain all the relevant information you need as a starting PA.
