entpac
polarbebe, Unfortunately, salary for a new Physician Assistant is about the same in Pennsylvania.
Moderator EMEDPA Posted August 13, 2014 Moderator Share Posted August 13, 2014 paramedics and nurses can make more than that with an associate's degree.
G. Davenport
I made more than that over 20 years ago. But, it's all supply and demand. As long as someone will work at that rate it will be offered. It does, however, create an unfortunate patient care scenario given the new hire will use this job as a jumping stone. polarbebe
$60k/year is on the lower end in NYC for medicine PAs. Most medicine positions offered to new PAs generally range from mid-70s to low 80s in NYC. In my opinion (please feel free to disagree and list salaries if possible) pay at the largest hospital systems in NYC: NYP > NYU > Mt. Sinai ~ Montefiore > HHC.
