SedRate Posted June 24, 2014 Share Posted June 24, 2014 Received an informal job offer from an estalished ortho trauma group in the West. The salary has not yet been discussed nor has a contract been presented. I am currently a student and rotated with this group. I don't know how ortho trauma pay compares to general ortho. Any advice/opinions regarding salary and/or the benefits below? Is there anything else I should be sure to ask or negotiate? -Will work with the new surgeon; will start ASAP after licensure -Time split between OR & clinic; assist other surgeons in practice when coverage is needed (a couple cases per month, if that); can take vacation when surgeon does or opt to work short days (negotiable) -Will be working at a newer trauma center and new office -Duties (negotiable): preops/postops, in-office injections, surgery scheduling, and shared rounds -Trauma call is typically once/twice weekly & one weekend monthly -Health/dental paid (I think) -Profit sharing & 401k (matched, vested after 1 year) -License/DEA/AAPA&state/malpractice paid -1 month PTO (vacation, sick, personal, CME) -CME $1500 Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
