Torshi
Does paying a seat deposite obligate you to attend the program? The reason why I ask is because some programs are on a rollings basis, if one were to get accepted, but also be open to other programs later on throughout the cycle, can they pay the deposit to save the seat considering some programs have a short deadline to pay the fee? Koppma
No it just saves you the seat. Remember that if you pay and later decline the seat you won't get your money back.
UGoLong
I put down a deposit to the first school that accepted me, later getting accepted at another school that made more sense for me. That money was well-spent, in my opinion. I knew that I was going to PA school and I could start making the necessary life changes. PACdan
Some programs will actually give you the deposit back up until a certain point. But in no way is a deposit paid a binding contract to attend. I think putting down a deposit at the first program to accept you is a smart strategy, even if it isn't your first choice. After that, you are free to pick and choose (should more accept you), but at least you are in somewhere. Torshi
Thank you so much for the clarification y'all. I will most likely put down first acceptance payment for sure.
