Anybody know anything more about this program? I had never heard of it until last week. Looks pretty good.

I've been in touch with them and I believe it will be good. They don't use CASPA though. And if you're from an Appalachian county in Ohio and are competitive you have an outstanding chance of acceptance.

Anyone who already interviewed- how did it go?

It went pretty well. It was the most in depth, get to know you interview I have had so far. The faculty is very nice and answered all my questions. I thought the 2 hours was going to seem long, but it flew by. Good luck everyone!

Great to hear! I have one this upcoming week, a bit nervous. Wondering about MMI? I hope mine goes by quick too, two hours seems like an eternity!

Those that got accepted, first off, congratulations! Secondly, how much time did they give you to accept or decline? I was wondering since I was put on the alternate list at the #4 spot. Thank you!

February 1st is the deadline for a first deposit which signifies acceptance. Second deposit is due by April 1st. Thanks, and don't give up the big dream!

Has anyone heard back from OU for the 2015-2016 application cycle?

I haven't yet. It says that selected students will be contacted to submit a supplemental application between September and October. I'm not sure if that means those students will be contacted in September to fill out the app by October (which is the deadline for that app) or if they will be contacted before September and September is the month given to fill it out.

Hey everyone, there are still tickets available for those who are interested in the Loma Linda PA program. We have changed our event from zoom to being ON CAMPUS. There will be prizes raffled off. Due to some restrictions still being in place, the tickets that are being sold will only allow one person per ticket. More info on the flyer and event bright website. Thank you so much! Hope to see you there. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/llus-3rd-annual-pre-pa-conference-tickets-145958073527

Hey y'all so I am a sophomore in undergrad and in the process of just starting to get PCE, shadow, and volunteer hours and etc, but I am super stressed out because I am itching to start getting PCE hours except its so difficult while in school. I was thinking about becoming an EMT and working for 2 years after I graduate but I wasn't sure if being an EMT is considered PCE among most colleges, does anyone know? (I also tried to work as a caregiver over summer and that job isn't for me)
Also, I'm trying to compile a list of PA schools to apply to, so if anyone has any recommendations for schools on the east coast please let me know! 🙂

Hi! My name is Hillary Simeone and I am a second year Physician Assistant student. I am looking for a preceptor and site to fulfill my elective rotation, seventh rotation of eight total, in the Dallas, Texas area. The dates for this rotation would be: September 13th, 2021 - October 20th, 2021. I have an open mind regarding my elective rotation and am open to new learning experiences. I can provide my CV to any prospective preceptor for consideration. Thank you for taking the time to read this!

      Hi all,
I'm a new grad starting out in ambulatory surgery-- I'm super excited because I love being hands on in the operating room. I was just wondering if any of the Surgical PAs could give some insights about ambulatory surgery? The site I'm going to be working at has 12 surgical subspecialities (list below). From what I gathered through the interview process, I'll be able to get experience in all of them. That being said I'm worried about being prepared and knowledgeable for cases. Anyone have any tips of how to study up, or even get more comfortable once starting? I have a little over a month before start date so any resources are welcome. Thanks in advance!
List of subspecialities/ topics to brush up on🤯🥴:
      Bariatric surgery
      Breast surgery
      Colorectal surgery
      General surgery
      Head and neck surgery
      Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
      Ophthalmologic surgery
      Orthopedic surgery
      Pediatric surgery
      Podiatric surgery
      Sports medicine surgery
      Urologic surgery
      Vascular surgery
