urchin
My advisor from graduate study agreed to give me a recommedation letter, but he wanted me to give some guideline about what he should emphasize to help me in the application. I am not quite sure what I should tell him. Any suggestions? Thanks.
UGoLong
Here is one theory: 1. Get a reference who can talk about your patient care experience and how you did 2. Get someone who can talk about your work ethic -- like a former boss or coworker 3. Get someone who can speak about your academic performance and determination, and how you should do in graduate school. Assuming that is the model you used to pick references, then your academic advisor probably best fits in #3. Good luck!
