I got an acceptance call today!

I got another offer, so I will be declining my acceptance offer here. Good luck to whoever is given my spot!

Stats be darned- I was a weak applicant statistically. Just be honest and yourself in the interview, they already think you'll be successful as a PA in their program :)

I think it was the first one I finished. Last cycle they were the first school that rejected me. :P Hopefully it's different this cycle .

I too was rejected last year. I applie late in the cycle. I'm from Ohio so it may be a long shot. I have family in Phoenix though.

Wow, interview dates filled up fast! I got my invitation today and will be interviewing August 28th. I hope that it won't be too late!

I totally agree! I got my invitation yesterday as well and within 3 hours the first available date was August 14th! I don't think you have to worry about it being too late.

Does anyone know about how many people interview each day?

My interview is July 17th. To let first time applicants know, this school either invites you or rejects you very quick. I found out last cycle, it was my very first rejection. This is the result of rollings admission. Good luck to everyone :)

I just turned in my supplemental app this last tuesday so still hoping for an interview. I was just wondering how many days they offered for interview dates so far i think i've seen july 17th, august 14th, and august 28th? Were there more dates and did it say how many people could come at each date?

I'm also interviewing on 7/17! Good luck, everyone! Hals2324, I believe that all the scheduled interview dates are 7/17, 8/14, 8/28, 9/11, 9/25, 10/9, 10/23, 11/6, 11/20, 12/4, and 12/18. But some of the students I know that applied last cycle said that the entire class was full by the end of September last year, so keep that in mind when picking interview dates!

Hey everyone! While working as a Medical Assistant, I shadowed a PA at the same clinic. Is this seen as okay? There are three clinics in total so I didn't shadow everyday with him.

Earlier this year I attended a PA school virtual fair in which multiple people said you want to be as descriptive as possible in your "experiences" tab on CASPA. I have worked several CNA jobs with different companies, but the job and work I did was basically the same. I'm looking for some advice... should I be redundant so I don't leave anything out in the work I did or should I try and pick out things that are more specific to each job? For example I worked in two nursing homes as a CNA and then as a traveling CNA with 2 agencies at the same time. Anyone able to give any feedback? I feel as if copying and pasting my job descriptions wouldn't look very good.

Hello! i am a sophomore in college and set to graduate in May 2020. I am having troubles finding health care hours. Every job i’ve seen is full time, and i can’t do that with 18-21 credits every semester and two kids. The only job i’ve found is a Direct Support Professional. These people work with disabled people, kids and adults. Working with kids means watching them, giving them their medications, taking to therapy etc, and adults live in group home settings. So feeding, medications, etc. I was wondering if this would count for HCE? The program i’m looking into just says a list of some jobs and says “not limited too” and I emailed the program for help and they didn’t clarify anything.

I am curious if there are any students that are in PA school currently who are married with children? Any advice, encouragement, etc? I apologize if there is already a thread on this topic. I could not find one.
Wife has been extremely supportive through this whole journey.

      Hi everyone,
I am in desperate need of advice regarding how to plan out the next 6 years. In an ideal world, I would attend PA school and get pregnant during the clinical year, take the PANCE, have my first kid, and start looking for my first job when he/she is a couple months old. However, that would put me at having him/her in about 4 years (I would be applying 10 months from now for a June 2019-June 2021 academic cycle), and my fiancé is not willing to wait that long (he is much older than I am), especially because we would like to have 3 kids.
The other options include having one or two kids before PA school. I've done the math out (as much as can be estimated about things like this), and going to PA school after the first is born would mean he/she would be about 12 months old when I started. Having two kids before starting the program would mean that they would be about 2 years old and 6-9 months old when I started.
These are the only options I feel I have before my prerequisites pass the 10-year expiration point.
Any advice on what path you would recommend taking would be GREATLY appreciated.
