sanfrancisdan
I have set up 6 rotations and just been told that I will not be able to do them because a "study" showed that students who set up their own rotations rated them the poorest. Is there any validity to this?
Moderator EMEDPA Posted January 18, 2011 Moderator Share Posted January 18, 2011 some. depends what the rotation is. some students set up rotations with friends/family as preceptors....not a good idea... some set up rotations in interesting places( a friend of mine did inpt neurology in london-great rotation). depends what you want and why you want it. if all your choices are just for geographical reasons shouldn't be a problem. my rotations were good to excellent. I had no poor ones. they were all standard rotations(I didn't set them up but did choose them on a wish list). trauma surg : awesome em #1 awesome peds em awesome em#2(elective) good fp good psych good IM good ob good
