Baloo
How are classes that are "W's" / Withdraws on your transcripts factored into your GPA when applying via CASPA? I've been told everything from they're not to they're automatically converted to F's by people who don't have a ton of authority on the issue (i.e. they are not PAs and haven't applied yet). I'm confident this forum can shed more light on the issue than Google, thanks in advance. (I apologize if this has been asked frequently, but I couldn't find any definitive answers online and it's quite possible I overlooked the answer to this inquiry somewhere)
Latina PA
They are not factored in at all by CASPA. I just applied and had 3 W's, they did not affect my GPA at all and I was lucky enough not to have them come up during my interview :)
Baloo
Excellent, muchas gracias! I had an inkling that the kid who told me, "Dude, they're automatically considered F's for PA school" was off base.
Z PA-C
Yup! W's do not affect your GPA at all. Makes sense since you did not get an actual grade in the course.Regardless of which be careful with getting too many W's. Just because it's not factored into your GPA doesn't mean the adcoms won't look at your transcript and wonder why you dropped so many classes.
