cfilak1 Posted November 12, 2013 Hi I was wondering what type of volunteer work I could do that doesn't involve getting a certificate(EMT or CNA)? Would volunteering in a nursing home be a viable option if I interact with the patients? I'm honestly all out of ideas. Thanks in advance
hiiamalysha Posted November 12, 2013 Volunteer work is completely different from paid work of a CNA/EMT. You could volunteer anywhere, such as a hospital or nursing home, but if you are looking to gain HCE then certifications are a good way to go. I've heard there are health-care positions that do not require certifications, but as far as I know they are very rare to find.
