Calling All MOHS PAs!

Recommended Posts

I have been a PA at dermatology office for the past year working along side a MOHs surgeon.  My daily job entails going into the patients room prior to surgery discuss the procedure vs alternative treatment options, including risks/benefits/cure rates and cosmetic considerations.  Answering patient's questions, identifying the biopsy proven lesion, numb the patient, prep surgery, ask and ensure antibiotic prophylaxis is given if needed.  Assist in surgery and I do a lot of closures.  I also take biopsies, discuss Aldara and 5-FU use to patients, go over aftercare instructions and do photodynamic therapy to patients.
