winterallsummer
What is your guys opinion on these? For example I have a few 2008 (prior edition) of the PreTest series and Case Book series from 2010. Still worth using? Anyone ever get burned by one of these? Or find that they were just as good or almost as good as the new edition? This is for end of rotation exams.
Jorge
I don't think you should have a problem studying from material a few years old. If you still have the power point slides from the didactic year l would also study those and compare to your books. If the review books you have are in short bullet point format I would also be aware of a trend I saw on my exams, especially on the PANCE. Questions seemed to use descriptive phrases rather than clue phrases or key-words. So instead of "moon facies" for Cushing's, the question might say "full, round face due to fat accumulation" or something to that extent.
winterallsummer
Yeah all of my textbooks are current and the review book I have is online so also current. I am strictly talking about question bank type books. Nothing but questions and answers with 1-2 paragraph explanations.
